After speaking at numerous environmental conferences, Jaime realized that a troubling pattern was emerging - there was a shortage of women at the podium and in the audience. She saw a dire need to curate a community for women working in the environmental arena and to feature the impressive work of some of the industry's key leaders. In 2009, Jaime founded the Women In Green Forum with the mission of highlighting women's impact on the environmental industry and the goal of encouraging more women into the field. Because the community building aspect was core to the mission of the Forum, a "Lifetime Membership" program was created in the inaugural year so that every first year registrant earned free access to the Forum for all future years. Jaime is proud of the team at Three Squares Inc. who has worked hard over the last five years to make the conference a success and grateful for the support of the South Coast Air Quality Managment District who believed in the vision from its inception.
